A flexible circuit board assembly includes a rigid circuit board (104) having a first portion (204) and a second portion (208) separated by a bending region (206). A plurality of grooves (30, 40, 50) are cut into the bending region (206). The grooves (30, 40, 50) are cut substantially parallel to an axis about which the bending region (206) is bent. Preferably, the grooves (30, 40, 50) are located on an inside bending radius of the circuit board (104), but can be located on the outside radius, or both.

L'invention concerne un assemblage de carte de circuits imprimés souple comprenant un circuit imprimé rigide (104) présentant une première partie (204) et une seconde partie (208) séparées par une zone de courbure (206). Une pluralité de rainures (30, 40, 50) sont découpées dans la zone de courbure (206). Les rainures (30, 40, 50) sont découpées sensiblement parallèles à un axe autour duquel la zone de courbure (206) se courbe. De préférence, les rainures (30, 40, 50) sont situées du côté intérieur du rayon de courbure de la carte de circuit imprimé (104), mais elles peuvent également être situées à l'extérieur de ce rayon, ou des deux côtés de celui-ci.
