A flexible coupling including a first hub (13) having an inner face (27), a flexible insert (15) having a plurality of exterior lobes (33-38) and a plurality of interior lobes (52-57), a retainer ring (19) having an interior (49) which engages the exterior lobes (33-38) of the flexible insert (15), and a second hub (17) having an exterior surface (47) contoured to engage the interior lobes (52-57) of the flexible insert (15).
