A flexible, heated, non-allergenic mat (10) adapted for use with animals has a flexible layer (14) of recycled crumb rubber formed under heat and pressure with resin. A reflective sheet (42) is disposed in the flexible layer (14) for reflecting heat. A wire (46) forming a heating element is disposed in the flexible layer (14) above the reflective sheet (42) for heating the mat (10) in response to an applied electric current. A plug (92) and socket (90) may be formed in an edge of the flexible layer (14) so that adjacent mats may be electrically coupled to form a larger heated surface.
L'invention concerne un tapis flexible, chauffé et non allergisant (10), conçu pour les animaux, qui comporte une couche flexible (14) de caoutchouc granulaire recyclé formée avec de la résine sous des conditions de chaleur et de pression. Une feuille réfléchissante (42) est placée dans la couche flexible (14) pour réfléchir la chaleur. Un fil (46) constituant un élément chauffant est placé dans la couche flexible (14), au-dessus de la couche réfléchissante (42), pour chauffer le tapis (10) en réponse à l'application de courant. Une fiche mâle (92) et une fiche femelle (90) peuvent être formées sur un bord de la couche flexible (14), de manière à coupler électriquement des tapis adjacents et à assembler ainsi une plus grande surface chauffée.
