An endoscopic stitching device is provided including a handle assembly supporting a manually operated suture needle loading assembly; a tool assembly operatively supported on and connected to the handle assembly; a suture needle operatively associated with the tool assembly, wherein the tool assembly includes a pair of juxtaposed jaws pivotally associated with one another; and an actuation cable extending between the handle assembly and the tool assembly, wherein axial displacement of the actuation shaft results in opening and closing of the jaws and rotation of the actuation cable results in selective retention of the suture needle in the jaws. A proximal end of the actuation cable is connected to the suture needle loading assembly such that actuation of the suture needle loading assembly imparts rotation to the actuation cable to selectively engage the suture needle in one of the jaws.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de suture endoscopique comprenant un ensemble poignée qui sert de support à un ensemble de chargement d'aiguille de suture actionné manuellement; un ensemble outil prenant appui de façon fonctionnelle sur et étant connecté à l'ensemble poignée; une aiguille de suture associée de façon fonctionnelle à l'ensemble outil, l'ensemble outil comprenant une paire de mâchoires juxtaposées associées entre elles pour pouvoir pivoter; et un câble d'actionnement qui s'étend entre l'ensemble poignée et l'ensemble outil, le déplacement axial de la tige d'actionnement provoquant l'ouverture et la fermeture des mâchoires et la rotation du câble d'actionnement provoquant la retenue sélective de l'aiguille de suture dans les mâchoires. Une extrémité proximale du câble d'actionnement est connectée à l'ensemble de chargement d'aiguille de suture de sorte que l'actionnement de l'ensemble de chargement d'aiguille de suture imprime un mouvement de rotation au câble d'actionnement pour réaliser l'encliquetage sélectif de l'aiguille de suture dans l'une des mâchoires.
