ABSTRACT For applications where an airflow extended over a greater length in a direction more or less vertical to that length is needed, the air is either transported from a central fan in a duct and then directed through outlets located in that duct, or the air movement is created by centrifugal or tangential fans which are mounted and thus driven by rigid axles, which run along or within a boom. The first solution wastes a lot of energy, while the second is cumbersome, rigid and vulnerable. In this invention the energy is transported and distributed over the given length by flexible means like belts to a row of individual fans.
