ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flexible hose construction and method of making same are pro- vided herein. The hose construction comprises a flexible nylon-11 base tube, a braided reinforcing layer disposed around the base tube, and a layer of adhesive means between the base tube and reinforcing layer. The reinforcing layer consists of a mixture of urethane prepolymer and a cross-linking material, the cross-linking material comprising 4,4'-methy- lene-bis-chloroaniline, the layer of adhesive means being a solely ambient air cured adhesive means and comprising the sole means bonding the braided reinforcing layer and the base tube yet providing a tenacious bond therebetween. The braided reinforcing layer is thus disposed and is tenaciously bonded against the base tube without the necessity of special heat or chemical treatment, thereby avoiding an increase in the overall cost of the hose construction.
