An intraocular implant made of a flexible material having an optical refractive index of 1.40-1.56 and including a generally circular optic portion (10) and a haptic portion. The optic portion of the implant has a cylindrical circumferential surface (16) with a width (e) of 0.1-0.3 mm and a diameter (De) of 5-7 mm, and two main surfaces (12, 14) each consisting of a vault (18) of which the geometrical axis coincides with the optical axis, and a frusto- conical surface (20) with an inner edge connected to the edge of the vault via a toroidal surface portion (22), and an outer edge connected to said circumferential surface. The thickness (E) of said optic portion is of 1-1.5 mm along the optical axis.

L'invention concerne un implant intraoculaire en un matériau souple présentant un indice de réfraction optique compris entre 1,40 et 1,56, ayant une partie optique (10) et une partie haptique, la partie optique ayant une forme générale circulaire. La partie optique de l'implant présente une périphérie (16) de forme cylindrique d'épaisseur (e) comprise entre 0,1 et 0,3 mm et d'un diamètre (De) compris entre 5 et 7 mm et deux faces principales (12, 14), chaque face principale étant constituée par une calotte sphérique (18) dont l'axe de révolution est confondu avec l'axe optique et un tronc de cône (20) dont le bord interne est raccordé au bord de la calotte sphérique par une portion de surface torique (22) et dont le bord externe est raccordé à ladite périphérie, l'épaisseur (E) de ladite partie optique selon l'axe optique étant comprise entre 1 et 1,5 mm.
