A flexible material comprises a plurality of separate resilient elements (1) joined to a flexible, resiliently stretchable substrate (2). Such a material is suitable for providing protective wear for human and animal bodies. Preferably, the elements comprise a foam material such as a closed cell polyethylene foam and the substrate comprises a knitted fabric. In an advantageous embodiment, a second flexible substrate is bonded over the elements (1) to sandwich them between the two layers of substrate (2).
L'invention concerne un matériau souple comprenant plusieurs éléments (1) élastiques séparés solidaires d'un substrat (2) souple, élastiquement étirable. Ce type de matériau convient pour fournir des vêtements de protection du corps humain et animal.
