ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flexible, resilient, compressible, multi-layered composite structure is disclosed. The structure comprises at least two corrugated sheets, each of said corrugated sheets being formed from a thermoplastic polymer composition and being self-supporting. At least one slope of each corrugation has a plurality of slits in side-by-side arrangement extending through the sheet. The corrugated sheets is bonded together in face-to-face relationship so as to form a multi-layered composite structure, each of said corrugated sheets being flexible, elastomeric and/or compressible. Non-corrugated sheets may be bonded to the corrugated sheets. The composite structures may be used, for example, in shoes, sound absorption and vibration absorption.
