A flexible piston rod for use in cylinder ampoules comprises a tape shaped body (1) which is along its length provided with supporters (2; 6; 16) projecting from at least one side of the tape. The tape (1) has a width and the supporters a length so that sides of the tape and the free ends of the supporters abut the inner wall of the ampoule (3) in at least three positions along the inner perimeter of the ampoule (3) and not all the abutment points lie on the same half of the circular cross section but are typically displaced about 120~ from each other. The piston rod is moved by a gear engaging a rack (12) on the tape either on the side not carrying supporters or at the edge of the tape on the side carrying supporters.
L'invention concerne une tige de piston flexible pour ampoules cylindriques, comprenant un corps en forme de bande (1) doté sur sa longueur de supports (2; 6; 16) qui s'étendent depuis au moins un côté de la bande. La largeur de la bande (1) et la longueur des supports sont telles que les côtés de la bande et les extrémités libres des supports s'appuient contre la paroi intérieure d'une ampoule (3) selon au moins trois positions sur la circonférence interne de celle-ci, sachant que les points d'appui ne sont pas sur la même moitié de section circulaire, mais généralement éloignées mutuellement de 120·. La tige de piston est actionnée par un pignon qui s'engrène avec une crémaillère (12) à même la bande, sur le côté sans supports, ou en bordure de la bande, sur le côté avec supports.
