The present invention is a point for a dart, such as those used in the game of darts. The dart point is fabricated from a material that allows the point to deflect around the metal ribs typically found on a dartboard. The dart point of the present invention dart is non-metallic yet is rigid enough withstand the forces incurred during a game of darts without bending. It possesses better holding characteristics than prior art points. Furthermore, the dart point can destructively deform should the dart point strike the direct center of a dartboard wire, thereby changing the point of contact between the dart point and the wire so as to direct the dart point into the dartboard.
