The present invention provides a flexible polymer packaging bag containing compressed disposable articles therein, and has a top wall with a seal. A frangible line extends from one side wall into the top wall, along the seal, around the end of the seal, back into the top wall, and then into the opposite side wall, thereby permitting the frangible line to be torn in order to open the bag without having to tear the seal.
