An improved masking film provides an adequate level of protection to relatively smooth surfaces by providing an adjustable and controlled level of adhesion between the masking film and the surface to be protected without the use of corona treatment or an adhesive under a variety of production and application conditions. The use of varying blends of materials and percentages thereof allows for control of the adhesion level produced between the improved masking film and the substrate surface to be protected. Using the improved masking film of the present invention, the masking film can be customized for a set of production conditions and desire application and will remain removably adhered to the substrate following a heat-loading process such as thermoforming, drape-forming or heat-bending.
Ce film masque amélioré assure un niveau convenable de protection à des surfaces relativement lisses dans la mesure où la force d'adhérence de ce film à la surface à protéger est ajustée et maîtrisée et ce, sans recourir à un traitement par décharge corona ou à un adhésif dans des situations variées de production et d'application. L'emploi de divers mélanges de matériaux et ce, selon des pourcentages différents, permet d'agir sur la force d'adhérence qu'exerce ce film masque amélioré sur la surface du substrat à protéger. Le film masque selon cette invention peut être adapté à un ensemble de conditions de production et d'applications souhaitées. Ce film adhère au substrat, tout en restant susceptible d'en être détaché, même à la suite d'un processus de chargement par voie thermique, notamment un thermoformage, un drapage ou un cintrage à chaud.
