ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed a framing apparatus for framing sheets of flexible material fixedly connected to the frame via pliant spline material. A frame supported on a work surface, movably mounts a spline inserting member which is movable transversely and longitudinally of the work surface. The frame is positioned on the work surface by guide members and the flexible sheet retained thereover by releasably engageable gripping members. The inserting member is rotatable within a spline channel on the frame at the corners of the frame, to permit the framing procedure to be uninterrupted while inserting a continuous length of spline within the channel
