Abstract of the Disclosure This invention provides a flexible composite article comprising a fiber core comprising crystalline zirconia and coated on at least a portion thereon a thin film comprising a high temperature ceramic oxide superconductor phase and methods to provide the same. High temperature ceramic oxide superconductors include Y1Ba2Cu3O7, and Bi4Sr3Ca3Cu4O16, and Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2O8.
