Flight simulator for light plane pilot training, comprising at least a cabin (9) to which is connected a fixed screen (2), a projector (5) projecting an image on the screen, a flight instrument panel (3) optionally provided with a projection system and a rudder unit control device (10). The invention is characterised in that the rudder unit control device is controlled by a linear induction motor (105) equipped with an armature (108) wherein the value of the current injected by a power unit (111) defines the value of the force felt in the control (101).
