ABSTRACT A washer for a flitch or the like has a passageway open at an entry end and an exit end and means for conveying a flitch through the passageway. A plurality of nozzles are arranged along the walls of the passageway for discharging a washing fluid into the passageway. The nozzles are in a selec- ted pattern to provide a selected spray pattern for the washing fluid into the passageway.
