ABSTRACT A float switch has a cylindrical cavity with an annular flange providing a passage between ends thereof. A ball is received within the cavity and is adapted to pass over the annular flange and to make contacting engagement with a plunger in one end of the cavity. The annular flange is configured such that theball will pass thereover at a particular angle of inclination and make contact with the plunger. The ball will not return from such contacting engagement with the plunger until the float has reached a subsequent specific angle of declination.
