A dock float having a sealed elongated buoyant hollow housing with at least one longitudinal channel for securing a joist to which decking is supported. A floatable marine dock is constructed by interconnecting two similar floats by securing header boards in laterally extending recesses in the ends of each float. The width of the floatable dock is determined by the length of the header boards and decking. Thelength of the floatable docks may be varied by juxtapositioning in an end to end manner any required number of floats.
La présente invention vise un flotteur de quai constitué d'une section flottante creuse, fermée et de forme allongée, munie d'au moins un logement longitudinal servant à fixer une solive qui supportera le platelage du quai. Pour construire un quai flottant, deux flotteurs de ce type sont reliés par des linteaux en bois dans les cavités latérales à l'extrémité de chacun des flotteurs. La largeur du quai flottant est déterminée par la longueur de ces linteaux et du platelage utilisés. La longueur du quai flottant peut être adaptée en juxtaposant bout à bout le nombre requis de flotteurs décrits dans la présente.
