FLOATING BREAKWATER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A floating breakwater which uses a pontoon-type floating body which is anchored to the sea bottom so that the phase difference of the vertical movement of the floating body caused by the incoming waves, as well as the lateral and longitudinal movement caused by those incoming waves, is used so that the latter movements approach the phase difference. The floating body is of a double-bottomed construction, with holes in both the outer and inner bottom plates, and is used in conjunction with a vertical movement reducing tank, which is mounted on top of the inner plate of the floating structure.
