A package for a disk product has an inner box including a top (751) of highly transparent plastics which glazes the window (727) cut in the outer box (725) when fully assembled. The inner box bottom (729) has a raised floor and a central depression (731) in which automated equipment place the user manual (735) for the disk product(s) (747) and optionally a storage case (737) for the CD-ROMs. Text/graphic background is provided by a printed sheet insert (739) which fits inside the inner box bottom (729). In the retail context, text and graphics are visible through the transparent inner tray (741). This transparent inner tray includes one or more pedestal (745) for mounting CD-ROM disk products (747).
