A head assembly for a pultrusion process having a centre line and being substantially fixed to a supporting surface and for putruding pultrudable material, the head assembly comprising a floating adjustable assembly having a front, rear, top, and bottom, and having disposed therewith a pultrusion die having a centre line disposed at the intersection of both the vertical and horizontal planes, said die having a front or entrance, and a rear or exit, the pultrudable material passing from the entrance of the die to the exit of the die and thus substantially forming the finished shape of the pultrudable material, the centre line for acceptable pultrudable material extending within predetermined limits along the centre line of the process as the material passes from the exit of the die, the centre line of the exit of the die always remaining stationary and disposed proximate the centre line of the process, the die being fastened in position with respect to the head assembly by at least one mounting member also having a front, rear, top and bottom, the head assembly having disposed therwith proximate the rear thereof proximate the exit of the putrusion die a fixed frame portion fixed in position with respect to the supporting surface, the at least one mounting member and hence the pultrusion die being moveably affixed (for example pivotable) with respect to the fixed frame portion, the head assembly having disposed therewith at least one adjustment actuator to provide for adjustment of the head assembly and therefore the entrance of the die with respect to the exit of the die, the at least one adjustment actuator being fixed to the supporting surface and affixed with respect to the at least one mounting member and thereby providing the adjustment of the front of the head assembly, wherein should the centre line of the form of the pultrudable material exiting the die be out of line with the pedetermined limits from the centre line of the process the adjustment actuator will upon the operation thereof adjust the position of the entrance of the die with respect to the centre line of the process and the exit of the die by effecting the movement of the front of the at least one mounting member and therefore the front of the die with respect to the fixed frame portion sufficiently until the centre line of the pultrudable material is again substantially in line with and within acceptable limits from the centre line of the process and the exit from the die.
L'invention concerne une caisse de tête destinée à un procédé de pultrusion comportant un axe central, fixée à une surface d'appui et servant à pultruder un matériau pultrudable. La caisse de tête est constituée d'un ensemble réglable flottant comportant une partie avant, une partie arrière, un haut et un bas et est jumelée à une filière de pultrusion dont l'axe se trouve à l'intersection des plans horizontal et vertical. La filière comprend une partie avant ou entrée, et une partie arrière ou sortie. Le matériau pultrudable entre par la partie avant, ou entrée, de la filière et en sort, dans sa forme plus ou moins définitive, par la partie arrière, ou sortie. L'axe suivi par un matériau pultrudable acceptable longe essentiellement, dans les limites prédéterminées, l'axe du procédé à mesure que le matériau sort de la filière. L'axe à la sortie de la filière reste stationnaire et à proximité de l'axe du procédé. La filière est fixée en position par rapport à la caisse de tête par au moins un élément de montage comportant également une partie avant, une partie arrière, un haut et un bas. La caisse de tête comporte, à proximité de la partie arrière de l'élément de montage, et à proximité de la sortie de la filière de pultrusion, un cadre fixe par rapport à la surface d'appui. L'élément de montage, et donc la filière de pultrusion, sont fixés de manière à pouvoir bouger (par exemple, pivoter) par rapport au cadre fixe. La caisse de tête est dotée d'au moins un actionneur de réglage qui permet de la régler elle et l'entrée de la filière par rapport à la sortie de celle-ci. L'actionneur de réglage est fixé à la surface d'appui et positionné par rapport au dispositif de montage de manière à pouvoir ajuster l'avant de la caisse de tête si la forme de matériau pultrudable sortant de la filière était désaxée par rapport aux limites prédéterminées de l'axe du procédé. Ll'actionneur de réglage permet d'ajuster la position de la filière par rapport à l'axe du procédé à l'entrée et à la sortie de la filière en faisant se déplacer l'avant du dispositif de montage et donc l'avant de la filière par rapport au cadre fixe jusqu'à ce que l'axe du matériau pultrudable soit à nouveau aligné, dans des limites acceptables, par rapport à l'axe du procédé et à la sortie de la filière.
