ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pedestal liner for railroad trucks, adapted to be positioned between the pedestal legs and a journal box, is so arranged that the liner permits relative movement between the journal box and the liner, as well as relative movement between the pedestal liner and the pedestal leg. The liner is made of a tough plastic such as nylon, polyester, polyolefin polyacetal or polyimide. It has the form of a "U" adapted to fit over the pedestal leg. No holding bolts are needed, but a land is formed on the bottom of the liner which is engaged by the pedestal leg tie bar, avoiding the recurring costs of pins and collars each time a truck is overhauled.
