A flood light lamp removal alarm for security lights mounted on or near a home, wherein the lights are designed to turn on automatically if a motion detector is triggered and the ambient light level is low, detects if any of the flood light lamps are unscrewed or loosened, either prior to a burglary or during the attempt to disable the flood light assembly. A central contact of a lamp socket is modified so that it maintains contact with the lamp therein for a longer distance as the lamp is unscrewed out, so that the alarm is triggered before the light from the lamp is disabled. Alternatively, current detectors verify when a lamp is loosened from a socket by detecting changes in current draw across the socket.

Ce système d'alarme est destiné à des lampes de sécurité installées sur une maison ou à côté d'une maison et qui sont conçues pour s'allumer automatiquement si un détecteur de mouvement est activé et que le niveau de la lumière ambiante est peu élevé. Cette alarme peut détecter que l'un des projecteurs d'illumination est dévissé ou lâche, soit avant une effraction, soit au cours d'une tentative de mise hors d'état de marche des projecteurs. Le contact central de la douille d'une lampe est modifié de manière à ce qu'il reste en contact avec la lampe sur une plus grande longueur de la douille au cours du dévissage de la lampe pour que l'alarme se déclenche avant la mise hors d'état de marche de la lampe. Autre possibilité : des détecteurs de courant vérifient qu'une lampe est lâche au niveau de la douille grâce à la détection de modifications d'appel de courant dans la douille.
