FLOODING WITH MICELLAR SYSTEMS AFFECTED BY COSURFACTANTS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Improved oil recovery by flooding subterranean forma- tions with micellar dispersions comprised of hydrocarbon, water, cosurfactant, electrolyte, and surfactant is obtained by adding water-soluble alcohols to the micellar dispersion to obtain lower viscosity micellar systems or adding rela- tively water-insoluble alcohols to obtain higher viscosi- ties. By adjusting the viscosity of the micellar system, better mobility control can be obtained during the flooding process.
