A floor material which generates no harmful gas such as hydrogen chloride at the time of a fire, is suitable for dry maintenance with a high speed buffing machine and has excellent resistances against flaws, stains, abrasion and the like, which is also a floor material having markedly excellent adhesiveness to the floor ground. This invention is characterized in that a wax is contained in an amount of from 1 to 10% by weight in at least the surface layer of the floor material in which an olefinic resin is used as the base material and an inorganic filler is blended therein. Preferably, a back side layer of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or a mixed resin of said copolymer and other olefinic resin is used as its base material having an inorganic filler is blended therein is laminated on the under side of the surface layer, and 1 to 10% by weight of rosin is included in said back side layer. The inventive floor material can be used broadly as the flooring in, for example, constructions such as buildings, apartment houses and the like and transportation means such as cars, ships, aircraft and the like.

L'invention concerne un revêtement de sol ne produisant pas de gas nocif, tel que du chlorure d'hydrogène, même en cas d'incendie, pouvant être entretenu à sec au moyen d'une polisseuse à haute vitesse, très résistant aux rayures, résistant à la contamination et à l'abrasion et présentant une grande adhésivité vis-à-vis de la surface de base. Ledit revêtement se caractérise en ce qu'il est produit par mélange d'une charge inorganique avec un matériau de base, en l'occurence une résine oléfinique, et en ce que sa couche superficielle contient au moins 1-10 % en poids en cire. De préference, ce revêtement est pourvu d'une couche dorsale appliquée sur le côté inférieur de la couche superficielle, formée par mélange d'une charge inorganique avec un matériau de base pouvant être un copolymère éthylène/acétate de vinyle ou une résine constituée de ce copolymère et d'une résine oléfinique, et contenant 1-10 % en poids de colofane. Le revêtement de sol présenté peut être utilisé pour de nombreuses applications, c'est-à-dire pour des bureaux administratifs, des copropriétés, et des machines de transport telles que des véhicules terrestres, des bateaux et des aéronefs.
