13 ABSTRACT FLOORING ADHESIVE A two-part adhesive comprises first and second components, the first, adhesive component comprising an aqueous dispersion containing 5.0 to 35% by weight of a polymer and 1.5 to 55% by weight of a resin capable of interacting with the polymer to form a set adhesive upon evaporation of water from the composition, the second component comprising a destabiliser for application to the first component subsequently to application thereof to at least one of the surfaces to be bonded. The resin is preferably rosin or a rosin derivative. The destabiliser may be an aluminium chlorohydrate, or another aluminium compound, in aqueous solution. The two components are conveniently provided as respective parts of a two-part package.
