A laminate useful as a flooring material having noise dampening properties, the laminate comprising a generally wood substrate having a top surface and a bottom surface a top paper layer bonded to the top surface and a backing layer bonded to the bottom surface. The wood substrate has a plurality of bores therein distributed across a surface thereof, the bores being shaped and sized to effect noise dampening.

La présente invention a pour objet un stratifié possédant des propriétés d'absorption du bruit destiné à être utilisé comme revêtement de parquet; le stratifié en question est constitué d'un substrat composé essentiellement de bois; il comporte une surface supérieure et une surface inférieure, une première couche de papier étant collée à sa surface supérieure et une deuxième couche de papier étant collée à sa surface inférieure. Le substrat en bois présente une pluralité de perforations réparties à sa surface, les perforations en question étant de forme et de dimensions destinées à atténuer la transmission du bruit.
