A flotation machine having: a flotation cell having a slurry feeder in the flotation cell, an air feeder for feeding air into the slurry to produce froth, a froth remover for removing froth from the flotation cell, tailings remover for removing tailings from the flotation cell, at least eight evenly spaced, radially oriented stabilizing members for preventing froth collapse during movement of the froth removal device; and at least one rotating froth removal device, capable of being at least partly immersed in the froth, and having a portion that extends over a launder, capable of carrying froth into the launder, the froth removal device being attached to the flotation cell, for recovery of froth, the froth removal device capable of generating centrifugal force, that causes froth to travel from the flotation cell, along a face of the froth removal device, to the launder.

L'invention concerne une machine de flottation qui contient au moins une cellule de flottation comprenant un dispositif servant ~ alimenter ladite cellule de flottation en suspension ~paisse, un dispositif servant ~ introduire de l'air dans la suspension ~paisse afin de produire de l'~cume, un dispositif servant ~ ~liminer l'~cume de la cellule de flottation et un dispositif servant ~ ~liminer les r~sidus de la cellule de flottation. Selon l'invention, la cellule de flottation (1,21) est pourvue d'au moins un appareil rotatif d'~limination de l'~cume (6,26) immerg~ au moins partiellement dans l'~cume (9,27) et conform~ de fa×on qu'une extr~mit~ de l'appareil d'~limination de l'~cume (8,26) puisse Útre ~tendue sur la goulotte (12) fix~e ~ la cellule de flottation (1) afin de r~cup~rer l'~cume (9,27) de la cellule de flottation (1,21) au moyen de la force centrifuge g~n~r~e par l'appareil d'~limination de l'~cume (8,26).
