ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A collector/frother for use in flotation froth concen- tration of pyrochlore ore for producing a brittle froth which retains selective chemical affinity for pyrochlore, the processes including agitation and aerating a pulp consisting of liberated pyrochlore and associated minerals while suspended in a water solution of 5-hydroxyquinoline and collecting a rougher pyrochlore concentrate in a froth overflow and a rougher tailing in a pulp underflow.
