2098997 9309406 PCTABS00022 A flow detector (1) for a liquid flowing from a nozzle (20) disposed at the apex of a transparent tubular container (15) and being discharged from the base of this container. The detector comprises a probe (4) coupled to the container (15) and provided with an optoelectronic transducer (40) which comprises a photoemitter (41) and a photodetector (42) and has its optical path (45) disposed through the container and intersecting a path (30) along which the liquid flow takes place. The detector (1) further comprises an electronic unit (12) provided with a processing circuit (57) receiving as input the signal generated by the photodetector (42) in order to generate as output a control signal which is a function of the variability over time of the input signal. This control signal is compared with a reference level in order to generate an alarm signal which indicates the absence of liquid flow.
