ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flow rectifier comprising a first flow control member having a plurality of flow passages. and a second control member having at least one flow passage wherein the openings at the inlet of the second flow control member being so narrow such that the flow through the second flow control member is altered to provide a uniform flow rate across the entire outlet of the flow passage of the second flow control member. The invention is useful with respect to the head box of a paper machine.
