A fluctuating gear ratio limited slip differential assembly (12) is provided that includes a differential case (14) and a pair of side gears (20) disposed within the differential case. Each of the side gears have a tooth with a first tooth flank. The differential assembly further includes a pinion shaft disposed within the differential case and a plurality of pinions (18) supported by the pinion shaft (16). The pinions are configured for engagement with the pair of side gears and each of the pinions have a tooth with a second tooth flank. The first and second tooth flanks are configured to cause movement of the plane of action defining all contact points between the first tooth flank of the side gears and the second tooth flank of the pinions in a controlled manner.
L'invention concerne un ensemble différentiel de glissement limité à rapport d'engrenage fluctuant (12) comprenant un boîtier de différentiel (14) et une paire d'engrenages latéraux (20) disposés dans le boîtier de différentiel. Chacun des engrenages latéraux a une dent avec un premier flanc de dent. L'ensemble différentiel comprend en outre un arbre à pignon disposé dans le boîtier de différentiel et une pluralité de pignons (18) supportés par l'arbre à pignon (16). Les pignons sont configurés pour être mis en prise avec la paire d'engrenages latéraux et chacun des pignons a une dent avec un second flanc de dent.
