ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Flue gas pollutants are removed from catalyst regeneration flue gas by burning coke off coke-containing catalyst particles and burning carbon monoxide in a regen- eration zone, reacting sulfur trioxide with alumina in the regeneration zone to form a solid, and heating the flue gas after removing the flue gas from the regeneration zone.
