A fluid activated press includes a base and an upper contact surface that overlies the base. A movable contact surface is movable toward and away from the upper contact surface. Several members, which are expandable through fluid pressure, are positioned between the base and the movable contact surface. Upon expansion of the members the movable contact surface is moved toward the upper contact surface.
