A fluid circulator with a vibrating membrane, including an internal hydraulic circuit consisting of an intake port (1), a pump housing (2) and a delivery port (3) in that order. In use, said pump housing (2) defines a space (4) having rigid walls (5, 6) with a flexible membrane (9) arranged therebetween and provided with means for coupling one end (11) of the membrane on the intake port side to a drive member that generates a periodic excitation force in a direction substantially normal to the membrane surface. Said membrane (9) is combined with means for creating tension parallel to the fluid flow and acts as the carrier for waves travelling from the end exposed to the excitation force to the other end on the delivery port side. During wave travel, the shape of the rigid walls causes forced damping so that energy is transferred between the membrane and the fluid, resulting in a fluid flow pressure gradient related to the size of the pump housing and the membrane, the shape of and spacing between the rigid walls, the mechanical properties of said membrane, and the excitation and tension characteristics thereof.
Circulateur de fluide à membrane vibrante comprenant un circuit hydraulique interne composé successivement d'un orifice d'admission (1), d'un corps de pompe (2) et d'un orifice de refoulement (3), le corps de pompe (2) délimitant en fonctionnement un espace (4) à parois rigides (5, 6) entre lesquelles est placée une membrane déformable (9) comportant des moyens pour son attelage par son extrémité (11) du côté de l'orifice d'admission à un organe moteur engendrant une force d'excitation périodique sensiblement normale à sa surface, cette membrane (9) étant associée à des moyens de création d'une tension parallèle à la circulation du fluide, cette membrane constituant le support d'ondes se déplaçant de l'extrémité soumise à la force d'excitation vers son autre extrémité située du côté de l'orifice de refoulement, ce déplacement s'accompagnant d'un amortissement forcé dû à la forme des parois rigides afin de créer un transfert d'énergie entre la membrane et le fluide se traduisant sous la forme d'un gradient de pression d'un débit de fluide en relation avec les dimensions du corps de pompe et de la membrane, la forme et l'écartement des parois rigides, les caractéristiques mécaniques de cette membrane et les caractéristiques de son excitation et de son état de tension.
