ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fluid delivery control device for regulating fluid delivery by a pump through a valve conduit between a reservoir and heating chamber of a steam curling iron. The control device regulates fluid delivery in response to the temperature of a heating element in the chamber. One embodiment of the device includes a bimetallic disc and a fluid delivery tube. The disc has the property of changing its shape when heated to a particular temperature, the temperature being the same as or corresponding to the minimum temperature required of the heating element for vaporizing the fluid. The fluid delivery tube which has one end adjacent the valve in the fluid passage and the other end having a flange portion adjacent the heating chamber, is axially movable so that the end adjacent the valve moves in and out of contact therewith when a bimetallic disc which is attached to the flange and is in contact with the heating chamber changes shape due to its temperature. When the disc is unheated, it causes the fluid delivery tube to push the valve against its seat closing the valve and preventing fluid from flowing through the valve. When heated, its shape distorts away from the valve, pulling the fluid delivery tube, and allowing the valve to open with the result that the fluid is delivered through the valve and delivery tube into the heating chamber.
