A rotary valve (200) for directing fluid streams which has a circular stationary head (400) having at least one and desirably multiple primary ports for connection with fluid streams at least one secondary port. The stationary head includes a number of first circular concentric channels (411) formed therein and at least one second concentric channel (412). The first and second channels are associated with the primary and secondary ports, respectively. A rotatable head (500) is provided having radial chambers, each having a first and second port for connection between a first channel and a secondary port. The rotatable head rotates against the stationary head and channels in a fluid sealed manner. An indexable drive (900) rotates the rotatable head to interconnect predetermined primary channels and secondary ports. The timing of rotation can be continuous or intermittent depending upon the associated process of the fluid streams.
Cette invention se rapporte à une valve rotative servant à diriger des courants de fluides et qui possède à cet effet une tête fixe circulaire comportant au moins une et de préférence plusieurs voies primaires, en vue de raccorder aux courants de fluides au moins une voie secondaire. La tête fixe contient un certain nombre de premiers canaux concentriques circulaires et au moins un second canal concentrique. Les premier et second canaux sont associés aux voies primaire et secondaire, respectivement. On prévoit une tête rotative comportant des chambres radiales, ayant chacune une première et une seconde voie pour permettre le raccordement entre un premier canal et une voie secondaire. La tête rotative effectue un mouvement de rotation contre la tête fixe et contre les canaux de façon étanche aux fluides. Une unité d'entraînement indexable met en rotation la tête rotative pour raccorder entre eux des canaux primaires et des voies secondaires prédéterminés. La synchronisation du mouvement de rotation peut être continue ou intermittente, en fonction du traitement associé des courants de fluides.
