FS92-90310-3 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fluid dispenser for dispensing a fluid from a flexible dispenser compartment of a fluid dispenser pouch of the type having a discharge passage that extends along a tortuous path. The dispenser has a dispenser mechanism in the dispenser station comprising, a backstop on one side of the dispenser path and a swash plate on the other side of the dispenser path. A swash plate manipulator is operable to effect relative movement between the swash plate and the backstop to initially displace the swash plate from a first position in which it is spaced from the backstop to an intermediate position in which the swash plate is inclined with respect to the backstop, with the upper end located in a pouch pinching relationship with respect to the backstop and the lower end spaced a substantial distance from the backstop, and thereafter to cause the swash plate to pivot about the upper end thereof to a second position in which it is in close proximity to the backstop and during which movement the distance between the swash plate and the backstop is progressively reduced to effect a swashing action which progresses from the upper end to the lower end of the swash plate.
