A fluid dispensing system includes a base for attachment to an associated pouch (A) and a neck (34) extending outwardly therefrom away from the pouch. The neck and base (32) include a bore (40) formed therethrough in fluid communication with the pouch interior. The neck comprises first (36) and second portions (38), and the bore is closed at its outermost end by the second portion.
