ABSTRACT A fluid dispensing valve is disclosed which has a valve casing, either (a) receivable within an outlet socket of a container for fluid, or (b) attached directly to said container. The valve casing defines a conduit, one end of which is in communication with the interior of the container and the other end of which is in communication with an aperture constituting a valve seat. A deformable, resilient diaphragm is accommodated within said conduit and has a centrally-disposed valve element thereon which is in sealing engagement with the valve seat when the valve is in the closed position, the diaphragm being provided with at least one opening therein. The valve element is displaceable from said valve seat, against the biasing force of the resilient diaphragm, to thereby allow fluid to flow from the interior of the container into the conduit, through said at least one opening and out through the valve seat for discharge therefrom.
