A fluid dynamically effective surface of a device moving in a fluid, especially a lifting surface of a flying machine, has an elastic axis extending in the span direction of the surface, and an adjustable control surface. The lifting surface is elastically deformable in a bending direction and/or in a torsion direction about the elastic axis, due to and dependent on the adjustment of the control surface, while changing the induced fluid dynamic drag. A control and/or regulating arrangement is provided for adjusting the control surface in the sense of minimizing the induced fluid dynamic drag of the lifting surface.

L'invention concerne une surface efficace en ce qui concerne la mécanique des fluides, destinée à un appareil se déplaçant dans un fluide, en particulier à un aéronef, cette surface étant notamment une surface portante d'un aéronef. La surface (1) présentée comporte une axe élastique (EA) qui s'étend dans son sens d'envergure (6), ainsi qu'une gouverne (3) réglable. Selon l'invention, la surface (1) peut être, en fonction du réglage de la gouverne (3), avec modification de la résistance induite, en ce qui concerne la mécanique des fluides, déformée élastiquement dans le sens de flexion et/ou autour de l'axe élastique (EA), et un dispositif de commande et/ou de régulation sert au réglage de la gouverne (3), réglage dont le but est de minimiser la résistance de la surface (1) induite en ce qui concerne la mécanique des fluides.
