FLUID FLOW DIVERTER VALVE Abstract A diverter valve assembly having a valve housing configured so as to provide an internal fluid chamber. The housing having an inlet port which is in fluid communication with the internal fluid chamber and a pair of outlet ports which are also in fluid communication with the internal fluid chamber. A flapper valve is rotatable mounted within the internal fluid chamber and has a configuration such that the outer peripheral edge of the flapper valve is in substantial fluid sealing relationship with the interior surface of the internal fluid chamber SO as to divide the fluid chamber into two areas. Solenoid means are provided for operatively positioning the flapper valve in either one of two position such that when the flapper valve is in a first position, only one of the outlet ports is in fluid communication with the inlet port, and when the flapper valve is in the second position, only the other outlet port is in fluid communication with the inlet port.
