ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to novel fungicidal and pesticidal compositions comprising N,N'-bis-[(1- formamido-2,2,2-trichloro)ethyl]piperazine, an optically active or meso isomer or mixture of such isomers as active ingredient together with a salt of an alkylbenzene sulphonic acid as emulsifier. The presence of such salts of alkylbenzene sulfonic acids in the compositions substantially improves the shelf- life of triforine compositions by reducing decay of the active ingredient with time. Processes for the production of the emulsifiers are exemplified and examples of fungicidal and pesticidal compositions containing the emulsifiers are described and exemplified.
