ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fluid jet nozzle for a whirlpool tub or spa including at least one channeling flange defined within and extending from a tapered side wall of a flow passage through the nozzle so as to laminarize flow therethrough. Providing such a jet increases whirlpool action adjacent the fluid pumping system or motor of the spa so as to make whirlpool action uniform substantially peripherally of the spa.
