A fluid delivery device for transdermal delivery of a fluid to a patient. The device comprises an envelope that may be applied to a patient~s skin. The envelope comprises at least one diffusion layer (20) coupled to at least one impermeable layer (18) such that at least a chamber (22) is defined therebetween. Other embodiments include internal diffusion layers (42), and thus possess additional chambers, as well. In one arrangement, a boundary layer (200) permits the device to be removably secured to a patient and inhibits radial migration of fluid beyond the periphery of the device. In another arrangement, preferably, an anti-microbial layer (330) is provided to inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'administration de fluide permettant d'administrer un fluide à un patient par voie transdermique. Ce dispositif comprend une enveloppe pouvant être appliquée sur la peau d'un patient. L'enveloppe comprend au moins une chambre (20) de diffusion couplée à au moins une couche imperméable (18) de manière à définir au moins une chambre (22) entre celles-ci. D'autres modes de réalisation comprennent des couches (42) de diffusion interne, et présentent ainsi également des chambres supplémentaires. Dans un mode de réalisation, une couche limite (200) permet au dispositif d'être fixé de manière amovible à un patient, et inhibe la migration radiale du fluide au-delà de la partie périphérique du dispositif. Un autre mode de réalisation comprend, de préférence, une couche anti-microbienne (330) destinée à inhiber la croissance de microorganismes.
