ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A carbonation apparatus includes a carbonation chamber, a water supply for supplying water to the carbonation chamber, a carbon dioxide supply for supplying carbon dioxide to the carbonation chamber at super-atmospheric pressure, a concentrate supply for supplying concentrate to a point external to the carbonation chamber for mixing with the carbonated water produced therein, carbon dioxide being supplied from the carbonation chamber to the concentrate supply, the concentrate supply being selectively isolated from the carbonation chamber.
