It is known to use a streaming current detector (SCD) in a system for monitoring the charge condition of a sample fluid and for controlling the addition of a flocculating/coagulating agent to the fluid. It is further known to arrange the SCD to monitor a sample taken from the fluid supply, and to connect the SCD in a feedback loop to directly control the dosing of the flocculating agent into the fluid supply. Difficulties arise in complex systems, and improper control over flocculant dosing results from the effect of dosing adjustment being overshadowed by other charge-varying influences. The invention proposes a solution in which a secondary feedback loop involving dosing of a chemical (which may be the same as that added to the main supply) into the sample supply is provided aroung the SCD itself. In this way, the corrective effect of the secondary dosing is not overwhelmed by the other influences.
On connaît l'utilisation d'un détecteur de courant d'écoulement (SCD) dans un système de contrôle de l'état de charge d'un échantillon de liquide, ainsi que de régulation de l'addition au liquide d'un agent de floculation/coagulation. On sait également monter le SCD de manière à contrôler un échantillon prélevé depuis l'alimentation en liquide et brancher le SCD dans une boucle de rétroaction, afin de commander directement le dosage de l'agent floculant dans l'alimentation en liquide. Des difficultés apparaissent dans des systèmes complexes et d'autres influences de modification de charge exercent une confusion sur l'effet de l'ajustement du dosage, ce qui empêche de commander parfaitement le dosage de l'agent floculant. L'invention propose une solution qui consiste à placer autour du SCD une deuxième boucle de rétroaction impliquant le dosage d'un produit chimique (qui peut être le même que celui qu'on ajoute à l'alimentation principale). De ce fait, l'effet correcteur du dosage secondaire n'est pas annihilé par les autres influences.
