ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosure described an apparatus for opening flexible pouches which contain fluidal materials such as oil, milk, grain, etc. A knife member is suspended centrally of a pouch confining body, the pouch being slit and opened as it drops down on the knife. Means are provided to suspend the pouch as the slit portions drop therebelow, effectively opening the slit to facilitate emptying of the bag and to retard contamination of the fluidal material by the bag. A funnel from the pouch confining body channels the fluidal material away in a controlled manner in one embodiment, while in another, the knife member may be attached by means of a bracket to a variety of containers.
