ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A pumpable concentrated dispersions of coal in water contain a non ionic additive constituted by the product of polyethoxylation of a styrene-allyl alcohol copolymer having a relatively low molecular weight. This additive is capable of confering stability (absence of settling) and fluidity (flowability) on aqueous coal dispersions having a high coal constent.
